On Microsoft® Windows® XP systems the drivers on the supplied CD may not work. The scanner will install into Scanners & Cameras in Microsoft® Windows® but will be totally useless. All diagnostics on the device pass OK.

The problem is with the TWAIN driver and control software. The installer refuses to install as it is not Win9x/2000. Even using compatibility modes will not allow the installer to function correctly.

Mustek now have a Microsoft® Windows® XP tool that will install the Windows® 2000 driver. This is available at:

Download the Microsoft® Windows® XP tool to the PC and start it (double-click). If you have a Windows® 2000 driver on a CD-ROM, please insert the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive and cancel the automatic running installation on language selection. Then run the Windows® XP tool and follow the instructions on the screen.
